Show hidden files in my cPanel account
Updated Apr 9th, 2021 at 14:42 BST
You can change your cPanel directory to show hidden or dot files, which are files that don't appear in the File Manager. They're called hidden or dot files because of the "." at the beginning of the file name, such as .htaccess or .user.ini.
From your client area go to:
Services -> My Services -> click on the green "Active" button -> Login to cPanel/Control Panel
In the account Dashboard, select File Manager.
In the cPanel File Manager, in the upper right-hand corner select Settings.
In the Preferences list, select Web Root (public_html or www) and select Show Hidden Files (dotfiles).
Select Save.
