How to set-up email in Outlook 2011 For Mac#
This guide takes you step-by-step through the process of setting up a new email account in Outlook 2011 For Mac
*Note: This guide defaults to IMAP and SSL
*Note Replace example@example.co.uk with your domain name
Step 1. Launch "Outlook For Mac"
Step 2. Navigate to "Tools" then "Accounts"
Step 3. Select the option "E-mail Account"
Step 4. The next window will require your server information.
- Email Address
- Password
*If you've forgotten your password you can reset it in your Control Panel.
- Username - use your email address
- Type IMAP
- Incoming Server mail3.gridhost.co.uk or your Cpanel Hostname.
- Select the option "Override default port"
- Port 993 for IMAP and 995 for POP3
Select Use SSL to connect (recommended)
- Outgoing server mail3.gridhost.co.uk or your Cpanel Hostname.
- Select the option "Override default port"
- Port 465 or 587
- Select Use SSL to connect (recommended)
Step 5. Click on "Add Account"
Step 6. You will be on a screen to confirm that your settings are valid you need to select the option below them "More Options"
Step 7. Fill in the required information.
- Authentication Username and Password
- Username use your email address
- Password
*If you've forgotten your password you can reset it in your Control Panel.
Step 8. You are done! Your email should be working on Outlook for Mac now.
