How to set-up email in Android Device (Phone/Tablet)#

This guide takes you step-by-step through the process of setting up a new email account in Android Device (Phone/Tablet)

*Note: This guide defaults to IMAP and SSL

*Note Replace example@example.co.uk with your domain name

Step 1. Launch your "Mail App".

Step 2. Enter your Email Address and Password.

*If you've forgotten your password you can reset it in your Control Panel.

Step 3. Choose "Manual Setup"

Step 4. Select "IMAP" as the "Account Type"

Step 5. You will be prompted to enter your Server Settings.

  • Email Address
  • User Name - Email Address
  • Password
  • IMAP Server mail3.gridhost.co.uk or your Cpanel Hostname
  • Security Type SSL
  • Port 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP3
  • IMAP Path Prefix "INBOX"

*If you've forgotten your password you can reset it in your Control Panel.

Step 6. Click "Next" and fill in your "Outgoing Server Settings"

  • SMTP Server mail3.gridhost.co.uk or your Cpanel Hostname
  • Security Type SSL
  • Port 465 or 587
  • Require Sign-In On
  • User Name Email Address
  • Password

*If you've forgotten your password you can reset it in your Control Panel.

Step 7. Click "Next" and wait until the settings are tested.

Step 8. You will be prompted to update the name to specify an optional one for your reference only.

Step 9. You are done! Your email should be working on your Android Device.
