How To Restore A Website Backup In cPanel

We usually keep daily backups on our cPanel servers for up to 30 days, these should be available for you to restore at any time.

First lets take a look at restoring the files of a website, you can do this by logging into the cPanel first of all and then selecting the "Backup Vault" icon.

Once selected, a new page will open and give you three options to select.

We are going to select "Restore files" for this guide for now.

Once we select the files option, we will be presented with a list of dates that we can restore the website/cPanel files from.

You can select your desired date/time backup from this list.

Once selected, your filesystem tree, if you want to restore just your website, you can select the little tick box next to the public_html folder.

You can also navigate within the folders here, if you wanted to only restore a particular file or folder.

Once we have ticked the box next to the folder/file we would like to restore from the selected backup, we can select the "Restore selected files/directories".

Once complete, this will restore the files in the folder/file you selected.

Please Note If you select the public_html directory and there are add-on or sub-domains in the cPanel this will also restore those from the backup.
