Daily Email to Professional Email migration FAQ

When will this happen?

We’ll start migrating your email accounts 30 days after you receive your notification email and will give you 7 days’ notice before we migrate each of your mailbox/es.

What is Professional Email?

Professional Email is a business email account that gives you an email address that matches your domain and business name like info@yourbusinessname.com. Our solution is built on Open-Xchange - a professional email system with inbuilt productivity and collaboration functionality.

What will be migrated?

We will migrate all of your email content from the Daily platform. If you are using an email client, such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Mac mail, you will need to update your server settings immediately after the migration.

Where can I find the server settings I need to use?

You can find the necessary setup instructions for the most popular email clients and platforms here and all the Knowledge Base articles related to our Professional Email platform here .

Do I need to update my MX records?

If your domain is with us you don't need to do any DNS changes, we will automatically make them for you. However if your domain is using third party DNS zone or is managed by third party provider, you will need to add the following MX records:
@ 0 smtp.secureserver.net
@ 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net

Will my payments change?

We will match the package resources of your current hosting plan to the closest available Professional Email plan. With packages starting at 0.99p* per month, you can find out more about your equivalent Professional Email package here.

This does mean that your price will change – your new package will be confirmed in your 7-day migration notice email, and you will see the change in your first invoice after the upgrade.

Will anything else change?

Our new hosting platform is located in a different data centre. You can find more information about the location here.
